Victory Physicians is the brainchild of Dr. Frank Arian and was conceived in the wake of several years that Dr. Arian worked for other physicians. During his tenure at various private practices, clinics and urgent cares in Bakersfield, California, Dr. Arian came to believe quite simply, he could do it better. He often wondered why so many things seemed to be broken. Why do patients have to wait so long to be seen? Why can't patients get appointments promptly when they need to be seen? Why can't we ever find the charts? Why aren't medicines refilled promptly and reliably? Why are consultations and referrals so slow? Why do we have to send patients all over town just to gets labs and x-rays? With these questions in his mind and convinced he could solve these problems and more, Dr. Arian moved to Palm Springs and founded Victory Physicians.
Dr. Arian saw a poster in his training hospital during his second medical residency that gave him an idea. The American Hospital Association sent out a poster titled "Defenders of the Home Front" to all accredited hospitals in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The poster featured an illustration of doctors, nurses, policemen and firemen propping up and rallying around around the American flag. Dr. Arian realized then that these terrorist attacks had forced us into a war that was likely to continue on for many years, perhaps indefinitely, and that a new "Home Front" had been created. As Dr. Arian is a known collector of World War II Home Front memorabilia, he decided to bring into the office his acclaimed Home Front collection forming a backdrop against which the new Home Front could be viewed. Seizing the iconic "V for Victory" from the period, his practice name, Victory Physicians, was intended to represent hope and a positive outcome for both the patients and the Home Front.
