Head Nurse / Practice Manager

E.Wayne Foltz II., RN, BS

Mr. Foltz was born in Brookfield, Missouri at the end of the baby boom.  He grew up living on a farm where he attended Walt Disney Elementary School in Marceline, Missouri enjoying all the play ground equipment provided by Mr. Disney prior to his death in 1965.  While living on the farm, Wayne participated in 4-H and showed gaited horses and fine harness ponies throughout Missouri, Illinois and Kansas.  At the age of 16 he secured a position at St. Francis Hospital as an orderly.  This sparked his interest in the medical field and management. Then during his senior year, he chose to participate in DECA managing a western clothing store where he won local, district, regional, and state contests.

After graduating high school, he was recruited by Southwestern Bell and AT&T which lead to his start in computers.  While working for these two organizations, Wayne attended Sterling College in the evenings leading to him completing 120 credit hours of 126 toward his Bachelors of Science in Management with an emphasis in MIS.  Prior to completing this degree, he decided that he wanted to make a change in his career choice and mix healthcare with management.  Those decisions lead him to attending Barnes College of Nursing at the Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri where he graduated one year early in August of 1994.  Since graduation, Wayne has worked in the following positions as a Registered Nurse - lung transplant/thoracic surgery ICU/Step Down Unit, Home Infusion, construction site as an Industrial Nurse, account management for Microsoft, and Medical Assistant Instructor.

Currently, Wayne lives in Palm Springs with his partner Mark and their two best friends “Tye” and “Cole”, a feisty pair of miniature schnauzer brothers. In their free time they enjoy travelling throughout Southern California when they are able to get away.
